How time flies

Here it is the year is almost over and I look back and wonder where has the time gone. There are so many holidays that will be coming up and I realize how this year I have let so many things pass me by. I have not taken as many pictures as I use to and have let my joy of photography slip. I plan to use these next couple months to capture the joy of the holidays and my children as they continue to grow. I will try to be more on keeping up this blog and be better at it. Well in the last two months I have had two children that had birthdays and with Halloween we went to the pumpkin patch. That is so funny how kids get so much joy out of that. Here are a few pictures from this years trip. I will post some of the birthday pictures soon and look forward to taking our yearly family pictures. My kids asked me the other day why I haven't taken as many pictures anymore and why I haven't taken any new ones of the kids here like I used to at our old place so I am making it a goal to change that.

With everything new that has gone on around here in life not much has been done with my photography but I do have a few great pictures. Family is so great and means so much to me, the joys I have been able to have and capture with my camera are so fun. My kids love the family and the times that we all have together. Here are a few pictures of my kids with my niece.

This is the four generations. I wish I had one for my photo album with me and my kids maybe one day I will have to set up the tri-pod and get it done.

Wow its been forever

Well it has been forever since I have been on here, I have not been doing much with the pictures and now that I am working full time again seems like there is never any time however I do have a new niece that is four months old and let me just tell you how much I have loved taking pictures of her when I get the chance to see her, it is so amazing how a child can bring such joy into so many lives. My sister went through so much to bring her angel into the world and we are all so glad to have her here. I went and saw her at the hospital during the short stay they were there and snapped a few pictures but I also had the privelage to go to her blessing and of course it was a photo opportunity for me and I got some great pictures. I got a four generation photo for her and I actually gave it framed to my mom for her birthday and also one of my grandparents with this beautiful great grandbaby and my mom loved them, I was so happy to see the smile it put on her face. Well I will finally show you a few of the pictures of this angel.

Mothers Day

Mothers day was a great day this year. My morning started out with a breakfast made for me by my son and his friend. The kids got along and it made the day that much nicer. Later that afternoon we went to my mothers for dinner and then we went to the park. The kids had so much fun playing baseball and wrestling. I was able to take some fun pictures. We all enjoyed many laughs and lots of fun. Its so nice when we are able to enjoy a great day together as a family and with the nice weather we will enjoy many more.

Almost Valentines

Well its almost valentines day. Every year it is a special day for so many people and then there are people like me that wish it never came. Then I hear a knock at my door and its a delivery man with flowers for my youngest. This day has been made special for her since she was very little by her protectors. Her father and grandfather send them to her every year and they are so beautiful and they smell so wonderful but the best part about it is the look and joy that my daughter gets from it. Today was no different except she was at her friends when they got here. She came inside and I told her she had a delivery that came while she was gone it took her a few minutes to find them but when she did she got the biggest smile on her face. So from her joy I have kind of looked forward to valentines day just to see what it brings her. I took a few pictures of her with her flowers and will try to get some better ones tomorrow but here is a picture of her beatiful flowers.

Today

Well today I have done lots of thinking. (Bad idea somedays I know) I have had this flower that has been my fighter flower. I thought it was not going to make it and then it started fighting. I battled with it and everytime I thought it was going to die it proved me wrong. Well today's post is about how sometimes I feel like my little flower, giving up. Life is not always easy and sometimes I wonder what is the point of trying so hard and fighting so much. I have had a really difficult couple of days and this little flower has given me lots to think about. There are days where I felt whats the point and yet I would look at my flower and grab my camera and I would feel so much better. This is what photography gives to me. It makes me want to keep going, and to see what I can capture with the lens. There are so many things in life that sometimes we don't think are worth capturing but yes it is. There is always something worth capturing or fighting for, so today I am posting my little flower who has fought hard but lost the battle because of the inspiration it has given to me. I will continue to fight my battles and I will continue to try and capture new things and find life and happiness if even in the wilting of a dying flower.
