Today I took some self portraits as I am trying to learn how to do more with portraits. I have been practicing with the lighting. I have been reading on posing for portraits and so I have been trying to learn from my reading. I enjoy reading and learning new tips and skills and then trying them out. I am hoping that one of these days I can talk my oldest girls into maybe letting me take some pictures of them. My oldest keeps telling me she hates the picture of her I have prineted and framed but like I told her I guess she should have smiled and not been grumpy. She is beautiful and I know if she would actually let me I could get some great shots of her. Hopefully she will start feeling better soon then maybe I can convince her. I just wanted to add one of the photo's from today. I have also updated the slideshows at the bottom of the page.

Today's work in progress

I have been working and learning alot today and have figured out alot of things for this blog. I am really excited to get it up and running. I have been wanting to do this for a while but was struggling with figuring it out. I hope to be able to continue to keep this updated and to continue to improve my photography and share. I will hopefully be doing more photoshoots soon and will have additional work to show. I can't wait for the warm weather to take more pictures outdoors. I love taking pictures out in the nature they make such wonderful backgrounds.

I have joined a group where I take a photo a day. Sometimes its hard to figure out what to take pictures of and I try to get creative. I do have some slideshows at the bottom of my page that show some of the work I have done. I have created three different sets of slide shows. Take a look and I hope you enjoy.

Well today is my oldests birthday. She is 15 years old and she keeps me on my toes. We had a fun evening. I made us some dinner and we had cake. I took a few pictures but she didn't want to cooperate with the picture taking. I love my daughter and I am so glad to have her, even with all the struggles. I hope to soon have some more pictures of her to add one day after I convince her to let me do a photoshoot. Here is one of the pictures from today. She is beautiful.
